And if you have carpet in a heavy traffic area, like a doorway, you might need to use a vacuum cleaner every other day. If necessary, you can also use some traffic lane cleaner for those locations. This regular cleaning would surely prolong your carpet’s life as dust particles may cut the carpet fiber which would eventually damage the carpet forever. Apart from regularly vacuuming the carpet, take special care of those tough reaching places like baseboards and corners at least once a month. Work slowly and make sure that the carpet is properly cleaned.
If you want to clean some spot or spill from your carpet, as the first step blot as much as you can even before applying any cleaning solution. Do not rub the area while blotting, the spill may spread in the adjacent areas and it will make your job tougher. Do not use any toxic cleaner as it may harm the carpet; always go for organic carpet cleaner. Especially if you have pets or kids at home, never even think about using a toxic or acid based carpet cleaner. After cleaning the area with organic cleaner, blot all the moisture from the carpet.
